Amanda Holden has praised a high street dress for its “flattering” fit and “beautiful” quality, calling it “a piece to treasure”. Now fashion fans can copy her look for even less, as the dress has just been slashed by 40 per cent in a sale.
The Heart FM presenter stepped into the studio on Tuesday, June 10, wearing a white Karen Millen dress that was perfect for the summer occasion. Amanda, who is known for her love of glamour, proved that a well-fitting dress really can lift your mood.
She told her 2.5 million Instagram followers she was having a “bad day” because of the weather, but added: “I always feel better when I put on a nice dress and this one is one to treasure for me.”
The 54-year-old added: “It’s by Karen Mirren and it fits perfectly. It has little fake pockets and it has slits – it’s very figure-flattering – it sits snugly in all the right places.”
Amanda wore the high street retailer’s Compact Stretch Stitched Square Neck Slim Fitted Pencil Maxi Dress. The dress features a square neckline and stitched detailing that flatters the figure and, importantly for Amanda, it stays put even after hours of working.
“I thought it would be wrinkled because I’d been sitting in it all day,” Amanda said. “But it doesn’t look like it. It’s lined and it’s good quality, as you’d expect.”
The dress is available in sizes 6-16 and was originally £199, now £119.40. Cut from a tight stretch fabric, the dress allows for ease of movement without sacrificing a sleek silhouette. Amanda chose the white version, which would be perfect for a bride-to-be or hen party, but it also comes in pink, which feels like it would be perfect for a summer wedding or race day.
