Bella Hadid (People princess and British Vogue June cover star) may be in her horse girl days – cowboy boots and Miss Sixty denim – but this week the queen of denim style dove headfirst into 80s nostalgia, embracing the polka dot trend currently sweeping London.
Bella swapped her classic rodeo look for a polka dot midi dress, layered over a leather jacket, socks and chunky sneakers. Like Irina Shayk in Cannes this week, she took a cue from London summer fashion, pairing the dress with dad shoes.
Of course, being trend-setting is second nature to Miss Hadid. Who could forget the days of Uggs and short shorts that took over the internet? Now she’s back in the spotlight, just as the polka dot prints Princess Diana championed are all the rage.
Love it or hate it, the 80s classic is back in style, making a splash on the catwalks of Conner Ives, Valentino and Moschino, and dominating street style and social media.
After a brief hiatus from the spotlight – between working on mum Yolanda’s farm and filming Ryan Murphy’s new drama The Beauty – Bella is back.
Her fragrance line Orebella is set to launch in the UK this month, and with her new blonde, work-friendly shoes and London-inspired looks, she’s the muse we need most this coming season.
