BLACKPINK member Jennie has been favored by the luxury circle since her debut. Recently, there was news that she will become the global spokesperson for the French haute couture brand Jean Paul Gaultier.
The brand first posted a silhouette photo on social media, and fans immediately guessed it was Jennie. In addition, she attended the Gaultier Haute Couture Show as a heavyweight guest at the beginning of the year, and these signs made fans quickly confirm the answer.
As expected, the brand officially announced late at night on the 29th that the new muse was Jennie.
In January this year, Jennie appeared on the Gaultier show wearing a nude dress from the brand’s 2018 Spring and Summer Haute Couture series. The dress adopts a deep V-cut design, and the chest is decorated with rhinestone cross straps, which is sexy and elegant.
The body-fitting design perfectly shows her graceful figure without fat. When watching the show, she sat next to the brand founder “Fashion Boy” Jean Paul Gaultier, highlighting her important position in the brand.
Jean Paul Gaultier retired in 2020, and this arrangement shows his high recognition of Jennie.
After nearly half a year, Jennie and Gaultier started in-depth cooperation. This time she wore a new work created by the studio team, which continued the brand’s iconic corset, precise tailoring and trompe l’oeil totem elements, and incorporated the four elements of “water”, “fire”, “earth” and “wind” in nature as design inspiration.
Whether it is a handsome all-denim look or a Gothic totem look that highlights her perfect S-shaped curve, it fully reflects the brand’s bold and avant-garde design spirit.
Jennie talked about the shoot as “walking into a dream” and said: “Each look has a unique energy – flowing, warm, calm and light. I enjoy showing my versatility through Gaultier’s designs.”
She also added: “Gaultier has always inspired me to express myself bravely, and this shoot is a continuation of this spirit.”
A month and a half ago, Gaultier officially announced that Dutch designer Duran Lantink would take over as creative director, marking the end of the brand’s five-year “guest designer” system and focus on the field of haute couture.
Before the new director officially took office, Jennie took the lead and reshaped the brand image with her global influence, conveying a noteworthy fashion ambition.
