Tag Heuer Wows at Geneva 2025 with Watch Innovations and F1 Pit Stop Show

by Tina

Tag Heuer is celebrating a stronger connection to Formula 1 than ever before, especially after returning to the realm of official timekeeping this year. This was reflected in the brand’s stellar presence at the Watches and Wonders show, where its 1,000-square-meter Palexpo pit highlighted the cars driven by legendary drivers Ayrton Senna and Max Verstappen.

Some of the new pieces on display were clearly designed to get the pulse racing, not least the TAG Heuer Monaco F1 Split-Seconds Chronograph, which is limited to 10 pieces to celebrate. The watch’s iconic 41mm square case (this year in ceramic) houses the TH81-00 split-seconds chronograph calibre.

One of TAG Heuer’s lightest movements, this movement allows timekeepers to measure two different time intervals, perfect for clocking laps. The watch is white with a translucent red dial, “capturing the pure adrenaline of race day”.

Meanwhile, TAG Heuer has reinterpreted a classic 1980s look with the 38mm diameter Formula 1 Solargraph in stainless steel, sandblasted and DLC-coated. Its sleek design complements the nine colours on display at the show, including bold green, blue, white, black and yellow.

The movement itself is modern and convenient, with just two minutes of direct sunlight to power the watch for a full day. Once fully charged, the watch can run for up to 10 months without recharging after less than 40 hours of sunlight, while the battery has a lifespan of up to 15 years.

For fans of understated design, TAG Heuer has also upgraded the Carrera Day-Date. The time, day and date are now available in new dial colours, such as blue or smoked red, with a black dial enhanced by a rose gold or orange seconds hand.

Going one step further, the brand has launched the Carrera Date Dual Time with a teal dial. This watch features a date display at six o’clock, a teal and white 24-hour scale and a rhodium-plated red lacquered GMT hand.

TAG Heuer’s links with Formula 1 and motorsport were on full display this year, with Senna’s own quote “I wasn’t born to come second or third, I was born to win”, which also appears in the brand’s latest advertising campaign.

This can be applied not only to Formula 1-style pieces, but also to accessories for actor Ryan Gosling, four-time Olympic medalist hurdler and sprinter Sydney McLaughlin-Levron, Olympic swimmer Summer Mackintosh and golfer Tommy Fleetwood.
