French luxury brand Cartier has launched the new En Équilibre high-end jewelry collection. “En Équilibre” means “balance” in French.
The entire collection interprets the beauty of harmony with simple lines, eye-catching shapes, balanced colors, and the use of virtual and real interweaving.
From exquisite simplicity to gorgeous grace, from delicate monochrome to magnificent color combinations, Cartier’s balanced creativity is demonstrated.
“Using simple and low-key lines to create a striking presence is the true meaning of exquisite simplicity. The essence of art lies in discovering beauty with different eyes and creating a perfect visual balance.
This art of balance is the core of our creation and shows Cartier’s harmonious aesthetics.” Jacqueline Karachi, Creative Director of Cartier High Jewelry, defines the En Équilibre high-end jewelry collection in this way.
The Panthère Orbitale Jaguar Necklace perfectly interprets the essence of “balance”. On the white gold base, various jewels such as coral, amethyst, emerald, onyx, diamond, etc., with precise proportions and positions, each showing its own characteristics and complementing each other. The jaguar is located in the center, which makes it more noble and domineering.
The Tsagaan necklace features the rare snow leopard as the protagonist. The black and white color combination of onyx and diamond accurately depicts the characteristics of the snow leopard.
Iris-shaped diamonds, rhombus-shaped diamonds, triangular diamonds and black onyx make the fur texture of the snow leopard come alive. The whole piece reproduces the essence of the snow leopard: rare, smart and elusive.
The Pavocelle necklace is inspired by the peacock, with a 58.08-carat cabochon Ceylon sapphire as the main stone. The oval shape is reminiscent of the striking eye spots on the peacock’s feathers.
The main stone is surrounded by a series of hollow patterns, and this reciprocating arrangement is like the gorgeous wings of a peacock when it spreads its wings. The central gemstone and its base can be transformed into a brooch, which is exactly the transformable design that Cartier excels in.
Other highlights include the Hyala necklace, which combines colored diamonds, colored sapphires and diamonds. Various transparent gemstones are harmoniously integrated, and the soft rose gold base makes the necklace like a soft veil, gently covering the skin
The Shito necklace dangles two teardrop-shaped Zambian emeralds, weighing a total of 49.37 carats. The asymmetrical design is matched with two simple and flexible curves to form an elegant and rhythmic rhythm.
Alexa Abitbol, director of Cartier’s top jewelry department, said that the En Équilibre series took nearly 100,000 hours to create. Each piece is a technical challenge, inheriting the essence of Cartier’s top jewelry and is also a masterpiece of balance.
Its soft texture, light appearance and simple lines make the work exude a precious and charming temperament from the inside out.
