Vacheron Constantin Ultra-Rare Artisan Work Lands in Taiwan

by Tina

The Les Cabinotiers series of watches from Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin are famous for their unique design, exquisite watchmaking craftsmanship and high complexity.

This year marks the 270th anniversary of the brand’s founding, and Vacheron Constantin held the “THE QUEST” 270th Anniversary Exhibition in Taiwan. In addition to a variety of antique watches and the new 270th anniversary commemorative Traditionnelle limited series hollow watches, three Cabinotiers works of art were also exhibited in Taiwan for the first time.

The Cabinotiers series of watches can be called the synonym of “top watchmaking”. The dial combines various ancient and exquisite craftsmanship, with complex movements, showing the meticulous watchmaking spirit from the inside out.

The three new works that came to Taiwan for the first time are based on the brand’s birthplace, the important historical landmark of Geneva, the Tour de l’Île clock tower.

Whether it is the harmonious enamel painting or the meticulously carved machine carving, the scenery of the clock tower is completely condensed in the dial.

The Grand Feu enamel dial uses miniature enamel painting techniques to reinterpret the scene of the clock tower. In the foreground is the rich and delicate outline of the Place de Bel-Air in front of the clock tower, restoring every detail of the monochrome original painting and covered with pastel enamel. The delicate brushstrokes make people feel as if they are in the real scene.

The Grand Feu enamel dial combines hand-guilloché and Grand Feu enamel techniques on an 18K 3N gold dial. The black building outline is outlined by hand-guilloché craftsmanship, and the famous roundabout clock tower is painted with Grand Feu enamel. The details are breathtaking.

The dial shape is hand-engraved and the bas-relief technique is used to reproduce the scene of the clock tower and the Rhone River created by Pierre Escuyer in 1822 on the 18K 5N pink gold dial.

The light and shadow are three-dimensional and the layers are clear. All three watches are equipped with the Vacheron Constantin 2460 automatic winding movement, equipped with a gold oscillating weight, the Geneva Seal, and the 270th anniversary mark engraved on the back of the watch.
