For Augustinus Bader’s loyal fans, there’s been one product missing from their luxury skincare collection for years. But that all changed Wednesday morning when the brand launched a bronzer mask.
Called the Hydrogel Mask, the new product from Augustinus Bader is designed to hydrate the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone, and soothe redness. It comes in two parts, which helps the mask provide maximum coverage, and should be left on for about 20 minutes. Each mask is $32, or you can get a six-pack for $180.
The mask is made of a soft hydrogel and is enriched with the brand’s proprietary ingredients, TFC8, copper peptides, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and more. As Augustinus Bader, the brand’s founder and professor, says, these ingredients work together to “create a protective microenvironment that promotes rapid hydration and renewal.” He recommends the new product for all skin types and suggests using it two to three times a week or as a prep for a radiant look before an event.
Founded by the German doctor in 2018, the brand has quickly become a cult-favourite premium skincare brand over the years. From celebrity endorsements (think Jennifer Aniston and Kate Moss) for its cult Rich Cream to product placement in movies (think Zendaya reaching for her cobalt blue body lotion in The Contenders), it’s a beauty cupboard favourite.
