Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2025 show was a special occasion for Dakota Fanning. Although she has attended several shows for the fashion house in the past, this was her first time in Paris and being able to watch the show at the Grand Palais was an incredible thrill. “It feels like a dream come true every time.
You’re there and you can never go back. You’re immersed in it,” she told ELLE.com. Fanning celebrated the show in a gold leather jacket, which she called “a tribute to Chanel’s heritage” and “it was so bright and shiny, like a ray of sunshine.”
The look was bolder than the A Couple actress’ usual style, Fanning explained, “I wanted to try something a little bolder. You’re in Paris Fashion Week and you’re in a Chanel show, so you can try something a little different.”
The suit, a gold pleated leather jacket with floral patterns on the pockets and matching trousers, is from the Métiers d’Art 2024/25 collection. Fanning accessorized with a metallic rhinestone belt embellished with a bow, 18K gold Coco Crush earrings, a pair of black cap-toe gold platform heels (which, despite the high heels, were some of the most comfortable shoes she can remember wearing), and a Chanel bag. “The suit was a little dramatic and very over the top, so I kept my hair and makeup clean and simple,” she added.
Fanning came to Paris with her best friend, and the fashion show was the highlight of their trip. “I kept talking about the bow-shaped bags and the bags in all fabrics, materials and sizes. I was completely obsessed with them,” she said. “They are very classic, but also playful. I am a girl at heart, and my soul is full of feminine charm.”
