Bode’s Spring/Summer 2025 Swimwear Is a 70s-Inspired Look

by Tina

Just in time for warmer weather, Bode’s new swimwear is here.

For Spring/Summer 2025, brand founder and designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla turned her eye to swimwear through the eyes of a fashion historian. Earlier this year, after a few years of silence, she unveiled her luxury brand’s new swimwear collection at a runway show in New Orleans.

This new category, part of the brand’s Bode Rec. collection, features stylish men’s swim trunks inspired by 1950s Speedo trunks, as well as three women’s swim trunks.

For women, styles range from high-waisted bikinis with tonal logos on the waistband to one-pieces with billowing trims, low backs and long straps tied into bows—all made from recycled polyamide and spandex—reminiscent of sexy 1970s beachwear. Both the men’s and women’s swimwear collections fuse elements of the present with those of the past.

The Bode Rec. cotton alpaca one-piece is a unique swimsuit that features functional cutouts on the sides to reduce drag, an innovation that was popular in the 1920s before the advent of stretch fabrics made swimsuits more form-fitting.

In addition to swimwear, Bode’s new offerings include everything you need for a summer wardrobe, from fisherman sandals to polo shirts, printed pants and more. Visit the brand’s website to shop.
