Pamela Anderson Showcases Iconic Look in New Biolage Campaign

by Tina

Pamela Anderson “never thought” she’d be at the height of her career at 57—let alone starring in beauty campaigns.

But that’s exactly what the actress is doing, one movie role and one makeup-free red carpet at a time. Her latest venture? Hair. Anderson has partnered with Biolage to become the brand’s new spokesperson—and to celebrate, she’s also starring in her first haircare campaign.

“Who would have thought I’d be in this industry, in beauty, at this age and just starting my career? We all have hope,” Anderson laughs in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. “I’m enjoying this time in my life. It’s been great.”

A longtime animal rights activist, Anderson tells PEOPLE that she was “honored” when Biolage approached her to collaborate, noting that she’s long admired the brand’s humane, sustainable practices.

“We’re aligned,” she says. “Cruelty-free and veganism have always been part of my life. Compassion is more popular now than ever. It’s an exciting time. Sometimes I pinch myself. It’s real.”

Anderson’s campaign features the brand’s best-selling Hydra Source range as well as the new Full Rescue range, which focuses on hair repair.

The star credits her hair health to Full Rescue Shampoo, Conditioner, Repair Mask and Scalp Serum.

“I air dry—I always look a little crazy, but that’s just my natural state,” she said.

“These products lock in moisture so it’s not too frizzy and it feels healthy. You want a simple beauty routine that’s just nourishing but not too complicated.”

Anderson noted that 30 years ago, during her career rise in the ’90s, her haircare routine was very complicated and more damaging to her hair because sustainable, clean products were hard to find.

“I can’t believe that after all the curling irons, the heat, the sun, I still have a single hair on my head,” the Baywatch alum shared.

“But I think, genetically, I’m lucky. My hair is thick and strong, and it’s been through a lot.

That’s the fun thing about this time in my life, though, is that my hair literally just goes to sleep with a little bit of moisture, and when I wake up, it’s the way it was. It doesn’t matter what style it is, as long as you use good hair products.”

Another low-maintenance product Anderson chooses is boxed hair dye—which she often buys when it’s on sale!

“I pick any blonde as long as she’s cruelty-free. I always make sure of that, and I dye my hair myself. Always,” she said.

“I can’t sit… I’ve spent so much time in a hair and makeup chair in my career. I can’t imagine going to a salon or having someone color my hair unless it’s for something specific. I color my own hair, 20 minutes, and then I’ll buy what’s on sale, and I use that.”

Over the past two years, the star has inadvertently become the face of “simple, natural beauty” with her makeup-free red carpet appearances and nonconformist style.

“Hair is a tool of expression for me,” she said. “I don’t wear a lot of makeup lately, but my hair, I love strong hair.

My hair has evolved over the last few projects; it’s exciting. But I think the most important thing for me is to have it look healthy—to complement my hair and my skin.”

For the 2025 Met Gala, Anderson changed her hairstyle at the last minute to match her Tory Burch gown and express the power she felt in the design.

“Tory Burch made me a gown for the Met with a flowing neckline, and I was like, ‘Oh, we have to cut it shorter,'” she shared. “We wanted the bob to flow over the neckline.

I thought the baby bangs looked great—just keeping my hair out of my face. Especially as I was about to go out into the world, I felt like it was another way to say, ‘This is me.'”

“It felt very feminine, like a warrior princess. When I walked in that dress, I felt something coming over me.

It was exactly what we were looking for when we were creating the character, and it was also the starting point for self-discovery. It was an amazing and powerful moment for me to feel so open, so vulnerable, and yet so strong.”

Finding strength in beauty is a philosophy Anderson continues to apply as she continues her Pamassaine career.

With the reboot of The Grudge hitting theaters this summer, the star is gearing up for a box-office hit for the new season, and she’s incredibly proud of all the opportunities she’s been given across industries.

“I feel like I’m just getting started in my career, and it’s really an honor to be able to work with these brands,” she says. “I love where the brand is going.

It’s part of a new direction that feels like a celebration of authenticity, softness and strength. And that’s the warrior in me. I’ve always been a bit of a rebel, but I love to fight. I love to be part of it.

I love to be in the moment because I know I can always do better. It makes me feel energized. I’ve never been more calm, or more inspired and fearless.”
