Italian Classic Fragrance Changes After 20 Years for All-Day Freshness

by Tina

Founded in 1916, the Italian century-old fragrance brand Acqua di Parma’s most famous Blue Mediterranean series has been launched for more than 20 years.

This year, it has been upgraded for the first time. It selects three of the best-selling fragrances in the series, including “Panarica Laurel Eau de Toilette” launched in 2008, “Amalfi Fig Eau de Toilette” launched in 2006, and “Capri Orange Eau de Toilette” launched in 1999.

The fragrance is reorganized using a “hand-made brewing” process that takes 2 months. It is presented in the new Mediterranean Treasure Eau de Parfum series, providing a silkier and richer olfactory experience.

The “Panarica Myrtle Reserve” condenses the myrtle fruit and rugged landscape of the volcanic landscape of Panari Island in a perfume bottle.

Citron extract, sage and juniper berries bring fresh top notes; the middle notes are added with myrtle and lavender extracts, and the myrrh makes its fragrance more profound; the base notes use patchouli molecules, labdanum extract and frankincense gum to create a lasting, earthy and warm feeling.

“Capri Orange Reserve” opens with Italian blood orange, mandarin and bitter orange extracts; the middle notes of rosemary and Italian basil extracts, accompanied by a salty mineral aroma, are like the smell of the sea breeze; the base notes bring a clean and gentle feeling with cedar, amber lactones and musk.

“Amafi Fig Reserve” blends the citrus aroma that is very characteristic of the Almafi coast, and is a high tribute to the Mediterranean fig.

The top notes are a blend of Italian mandarin, blood orange, grapefruit and lemon extracts; followed by iris extract and fig in the middle notes; the aroma of the base is a layered woody scent of tonka bean extract, amber lactone and ambergris.

For the first time, French interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon designed a new scented soap inspired by the golden fruit shape of Acqua di Parma. The colorful colors and cute shapes are full of healing.

In addition, Acqua di Parma has collaborated with French artist Ben Arpea this summer, with his original painting series “La Terrazza Italiana” as the theme, drawing inspiration from Italy’s rich traditions and magnificent scenery, and cleverly combining art and fragrance to launch the “Summer Terrace Limited Edition” scented candles and perfumes with colorful stripes and cute illustration packaging, which decorate the interior space with colorful colors and wonderful fragrance.
