Sydney Sweeney made headlines this week for more than just her acting. While promoting her new film Echo Valley, out June 6, the actress stepped out in a series of bold looks designed by her longtime collaborator Molly Dickson.
The most striking piece? A trouserless ensemble consisting of a blazer and tie from Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fall/Winter 2005 collection – both bold and sophisticated, perfectly paired with chocolate brown heels and tiny black sunglasses.
In Echo Valley, Sweeney stars alongside L’OFFICIEL cover star Julianne Moore in the taut drama about a mother-daughter relationship pushed to the limit.
Moore plays Kate, a woman struggling to adjust to her daughter Claire’s chaotic life. Sweeney’s gritty performance as Claire explores the extent to which a mother will sacrifice to save her child.
But it’s not just her on-screen roles that have captured the attention. Off-screen, Sweeney has also spoken openly about her recent split from longtime fiancé Jonathan Davino. In an interview with The Times, she confirmed the split, saying: “I’ve learned a lot about myself and I’ve been spending more time with my friends. I’m enjoying this moment.”
The couple, who first started dating in 2018 and got engaged in early 2022, have officially parted ways. However, Sweeney seems to be confidently starting a new chapter – single and stylish.
