This week, NBCUniversal and Seven held a VIP event at Bobbie’s restaurant in Twin Bays to celebrate 7Bravo’s Fashion Month along with major advertisers and clients. This event highlighted the carefully curated fashion content on 7Bravo and 7plus, taking place right between the 2025 charity Ball at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and Australian Fashion Week.
The host of 7Bravo, Bella Varelis, welcomed the guests and introduced Chris Taylor, the general manager of NBC Universal’s television distribution, international networks and direct-to-consumer business in the Asia-Pacific region. And Katie Finney, the national television sales director of Seven West Media. They talked about the channel’s growing success, highlighting how 7Bravo offers brands unique opportunities to interact with audiences through key cultural moments and leverage talent-led content such as social media, linear TV and video-on-demand.
The guests had the opportunity to directly listen to the opinions of professionals. Bella hosted a fashion panel discussion. The participants included the renowned stylist Elliot Garnaut and Kellie Hush, the CEO of AFC Fashion Week, the chief strategy and brand officer of The Volte, and the former editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar. Kelly and Elliott talked about the key fashion trends at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s charity ball in New York this week, which works by local designers we can expect to see at this year’s Australian Fashion Week, and why brands are now inclined to custom, creative-led content for brand promotion, especially in the fields of lifestyle and fashion.
When the guests arrived, they were welcomed by a three-person jazz band. DJ Robbie Rommers was the grand finale of the event, and Pauli’s live trumpet performance enlivened the guests.
The attendees include:
Belinda Miller, the head of Havas PLAY of the Havas Group;
Sam Murray, the investment director of Hearts and Science;
Sophie Walsh, the head of the creative department of OMG Sydney;
Rapthi Thanapalasingam, the head of brand and sponsorship at Suncorp;
Mei Wong, Director of PHD Strategy
