If you’re looking for a new way to update your wardrobe this spring — one that’s friendlier to your wallet and the planet — you can’t miss Westfield Good Festival.
This year, the popular festival returns from May 15 to 18, bringing together fashion, creativity and responsible shopping. The four-day event features events for all fashion lovers, creative upcycling and sustainability.
Whether you’re a fan of vintage clothing, want to support eco-friendly fashion, or just love discovering unique pieces with interesting backstories, Westfield Good Festival gives you plenty of reasons to visit Prague’s largest shopping mall.
At the center of the action is the pop-up store of Secondhand 1981, one of Prague’s most popular second-hand stores, known for its selection of vintage and nostalgic fashion. From statement jackets to classic denim, the retailer will have everything on offer.
Adding star power to the four-day festival is Klára Vytisková. The Czech singer will open the festival at the VIP Gala on May 14, where she will create three exclusive upcycled outfits in collaboration with Secondhand 1981. These one-of-a-kind outfits will be up for grabs in a social media contest. On the final day of the market, the winners will receive their new outfits and meet with Vítískova.
The popular Bloges Market, founded by fashionista Nikol Moravcová, returns this year. Open from 1pm to 7pm daily during the festival, the unique pop-up shop will feature wardrobe clearances from well-known influencers and celebrities such as Aneta Vignerová, Natalie Kotková, BeHa and sustainable fashion designer Jana On the Boat, giving visitors the chance to buy second-hand clothing straight from their closets.
Not only is it a fun way to shop, it’s also a chance to support a good cause – proceeds from the market will go to the Veronika Kašáková Foundation, which helps young people navigating the foster care system.
Westfield Good Festival is more than just about hunting for vintage treasures, it’s also about getting hands-on. There will be several upcycling and DIY fashion workshops taking place throughout the festival. If you’ve ever dreamed of trying your hand at sashiko embroidery, decorating recycled china or turning old fabrics into accessories, now’s your chance.
You’ll also have the chance to win an exclusive workshop with Secondhand 1981 from 15 to 17 May, where you’ll learn how to turn old clothes into new ones. Each workshop is limited to 10 people and is only available to Westfield Club members. You can register for free via the app.
Westfield Good Festival also highlights sustainable living through pop-up shops themed around craft, nostalgia and community. At the Superantik pop-up shop you’ll find vintage furniture and retro home decor, while the Elpida organisation will be showcasing handmade knitwear made by old artisans, showing that traditional crafts still have a place in the modern world.
Even the food and beverage options reflect the festival’s eco-friendly ethos. Don’t miss Něco jako’s kimchi, made with leftover water from the fermentation process of Živina kimchi, proving that sustainability can be delicious.
End your festival with a stop at the Photo Corner, where you can commemorate your favourite festival looks.
More than just a shopping extravaganza, Westfield Good Festival is a chance to rethink your relationship with fashion. You’ll discover real styles, real stories and inspirations that will linger with you long after you return home.
