Carolina Herrera to Stage Spring 2026 Show in Madrid

by Tina

Wes Gordon is gearing up for his next Carolina Herrera destination fashion show.

On the evening of September 18, the brand will present its Spring 2026 collection at a yet-to-be-announced location in Madrid—and its third international runway show, following a celebratory dinner on September 17. Taking place on the first day of London Fashion Week, the show marks the first time Gordon will present his main Carolina Herrera collection, powered by Puig, outside of New York Fashion Week.

The brand noted that the international celebration continues a string of exciting moments, including two acclaimed Resort 2024 and 2025 shows in Rio de Janeiro and Mexico City, respectively, and the continued momentum of Good Girl, which became the number one women’s fragrance line globally last year.

“Madrid has always been one of my favorite cities, it’s incredibly rich in history, art, culture, and landmarks,” the creative director told WWD. “It has an amazing energy and vibrant culture, and is home to so many creative people with a unique understanding of beauty and joy.”

Ahead of the spring show, Gordon and the Herrera brand launched the Celebrating Women in the Arts Initiative in Madrid, which will launch in 2023. In partnership with the Thyssen Museum in Madrid, the brand sponsored the exhibition titled “Maestras — Women Masters.” The exhibition featured more than 100 works by artists such as Angelica Kauffman, Sonia Delaunay and Artemisia Gentileschi. In addition, Gordon served on the jury for Vogue Spain’s 2024 Fashion Fund.

Whenever I come to Madrid, inspiration always comes to me. Here, Alegría de Vivir becomes a reality. Whether it’s an impromptu dinner at Casa Lucio, a stroll through the Retiro Park, or an hour at the Reina Sofia Art Center, Madrid is a city that is deeply shaped by history, but never constrained by it. There’s something so alluring about the way the past and present coexist. Bringing Carolina Herrera to Madrid was less a decision than a continuation of a shared conversation, Gordon says.

The ongoing dialogue means the brand will continue to strengthen its Latin American roots, not only by showing collections to clients around the world, curating special events in international cities, but also by collaborating with select Spanish artisans and creatives on Gordon’s collections. Case in point: the artisan work on display at Gordon’s Museu Anahuacalli collection, a see-now-buy-now Resort 2025 exhibition and pop-up store at El Palacio de Hierro in Mexico City.

Here, featured pieces from the Spring 2026 collection will celebrate Madrid’s local craftsmanship and creativity, as well as Carolina Herrera’s signature femininity.

The luxury brand plans to return to New York Fashion Week in 2026, and will host a private client preview in New York ahead of the Madrid show.
