Beauty lovers may know Chanel for its classics, like red lipstick and red nail polish, but the French brand also knows how to come up with something new and unique. We saw this again with the C-shaped nail stickers that became popular in 2023. Now, Chanel has proven this again with a glitter lipstick.
Chanel’s Rouge Coco Flash collection usually has a rich palette of colors, each of which is richly pigmented and nourishing to the lips, thanks to ingredients such as jojoba oil and sunflower seed wax, which can lock in moisture and nourish the skin.
This new shimmer lipstick, 272 Rosa, has the same skincare benefits, but its pink-purple color is particularly unique. 272 Rosa’s shimmer effect is more intense than ordinary shimmer. The lipstick retails for $50 and is part of Chanel’s spring makeup collection Camélia Futura, which was launched a few days ago.
“There is something very soft about the beauty of the camellia… What’s particularly surprising is that it’s actually a very hardy plant that can adapt and bloom even in extreme conditions. This duality is the basis of the collection, which perfectly combines soft and romantic qualities with cooler, more futuristic and modern elements,” said Cécile Paravina, Chanel’s global makeup partner, in a press release.
Echoing the sparkling lipsticks in the new beauty collection, the Camélia Futura products are equally sparkly. From the new eyeshadow palettes to the eyeliners, nail polishes and primers, most of the new products have a shimmery or metallic finish. The look is highlighted by the new Rouge Coco Flash 272 Rosa shade. The spring makeup products are available now on Chanel.com.
