Every year at the Cannes Film Festival, there’s always a slew of mesmerizing gowns (from new couture to vintage dresses) to excite fashion lovers – but when it comes to Hollywood’s top men’s fashion looks, classic suits and tuxedos are still the star. This year, there were already a lot of male stars on the Cannes red carpet.
In fact, only halfway through, the event has become a real “hunks’ day”: fan-favorites such as Pedro Pascal, Robert Pattinson and Austin Butler have all shown off their most stylish looks. Of course, the men are just as sexy, but the men’s looks are even more stunning.
The highlight so far? Twilight original Pattinson’s new film Die, My Love, starring with Jennifer Lawrence, welcomed the press and red carpet. At the film’s premiere, he wore a classic Dior tuxedo, paired with a classic lapel, bow tie and derby shoes.
For the press photocall, he wore a slightly more casual cream T-shirt, layered over a dress shirt and suede jacket—perfect for messy chic.
Other leading men also opted to bare their cleavage during the Cannes Film Festival. Just yesterday, for his photo shoot for Eddington, Pascal posed for Cannes photographers in a black sleeveless top. (No one misses a bare-arm day.) Next to him, Butler opted for a classic dress shirt, buttoned up just right—tucked into a pair of sleek pleated trousers.
Meanwhile, earlier today, Alexander Skarsgard showed off his sexiest look of the festival so far while taking a photo in the back seat: He wore a vintage T-shirt (with a boot on someone’s face!) with a pair of Loewe leather pants and a pair of motorcycle boots, a look you’d definitely think you’d see in a dive bar, not Cannes.
But the look is sexy—stylist Harry Lambert, of course—and it works. The good news: Cannes is still a week away, which means (hopefully) more cool fashion moments to come. Buckle up.
